Aazim Sharp —
Strategy Before Applications.
I’m Aazim Sharp, founder of CEO Capital Connection and a business funding advisor who helps entrepreneurs and small business owners identify and secure financing solutions that fit their goals and financial profile. With more than 20 years of experience spanning real estate investing, consumer credit, and business funding, I’ve built my career around helping people overcome financial barriers and gain access to opportunities.
A Career Built on Removing Financial Barriers
I often say that my journey into business funding didn’t begin with funding at all. It began with the lessons I learned as a child about hard work, personal responsibility, faith, and creating opportunities instead of waiting for them.
I was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, by a young mother who became one of the greatest influences in my life. She worked multiple jobs, returned to school to continue her education, and eventually became a successful business owner. Just as importantly, she believed that success carried a responsibility to serve others — some of my earliest memories are of watching her volunteer in nursing homes and give back to her community without expecting anything in return.
When I was around eight or nine years old, she encouraged me to ask the owner of a neighborhood barbershop if I could help by sweeping floors, washing windows, and doing whatever work needed to be done. That experience taught me the value of earning my own money, taking pride in my work, and understanding that every dollar represented effort, responsibility, and opportunity.
“Every business has a purpose, and with the right mindset, discipline, guidance, resources, and access to the right business funding, that purpose can grow into something that positively impacts families, generates jobs, and strengthens the communities it serves.”
Before entering the credit repair industry, I was actively involved in real estate investing — buying, renovating, and selling properties. Watching prospective homeowners walk away because they couldn’t qualify for financing made me realize that finding the right property wasn’t always the biggest obstacle. Qualifying for it was. That realization led me into consumer credit, and eventually into business funding.
Looking back, every step of my professional journey — from real estate to credit repair to business funding — wasn’t a series of separate careers. It was one continuous mission to remove financial barriers and help people move closer to the opportunities they were working so hard to achieve. That mission is what led me to found CEO Capital Connection.
From the Streets of Newark to a Nationwide Funding Marketplace
Growing up in Newark, New Jersey, I learned early that if you wanted something in life, you had to go out and create it for yourself. That belief — forged through early experiences, hard work, and watching my mother build a better future against real odds — shaped every chapter of my career and is the foundation of everything I do at CEO Capital Connection today.
Knowledge Built Through Decades of Practical Application
My professional development has been shaped primarily through more than 20 years of hands-on experience, continuous independent study, and the practical application of financial and consumer credit principles in real-world situations — not simply academic learning.
Consumer Credit Law & Practice
When I entered the consumer credit industry, I made it a priority to understand not only how credit reporting worked, but also the laws and regulations that govern the relationship between consumers, creditors, debt collectors, and the credit reporting agencies.
I spent years applying that knowledge to actual client situations — reviewing credit reports, identifying inaccurate, unverifiable, or outdated information, communicating with credit reporting agencies and creditors, understanding dispute and investigation procedures, and helping clients strengthen their overall credit profiles. That hands-on experience ultimately helped hundreds of clients address credit and financial obstacles and better position themselves for opportunities such as homeownership, real estate investing, and business ownership.
Business Funding & Lender Underwriting
As my work evolved into business funding, so did my professional development. I began studying how banks, credit unions, and alternative lenders evaluate borrowers — including underwriting guidelines, credit requirements, debt-to-income ratios, business revenue, existing debt, credit utilization, credit bureau preferences, application sequencing, and other factors that can influence funding decisions.
My professional knowledge has been strengthened through years of working directly with clients, lenders, financial institutions, and other professionals throughout the credit and funding industries. Because lending guidelines and financial markets continually change, ongoing education remains a central part of my work. I continue to study lender requirements, funding programs, underwriting trends, and changes within the credit and lending marketplace so I can provide business owners with guidance based on the current funding environment rather than outdated assumptions.
I’ve also shared my experience through financial education platforms, including the Financial 1st Aid Podcast and Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio, as well as serving as a guest speaker at financial education and business events.

Understanding lender criteria, credit bureau preferences, existing debt, application sequencing, and overall financial profile to determine how different funding options work together — helping clients pursue capital strategically and avoid decisions that limit future opportunities.
A Track Record Built Over Two Decades
Strategy Comes Before Applications
Over the years, I’ve learned that securing funding isn’t just about finding a lender willing to say “yes.” It’s about developing the right strategy before a single application is ever submitted.
One of the biggest misconceptions I see is that business owners believe the best place to start is by walking into their local bank. While a traditional bank may be a good fit in some situations, it’s only one institution with one set of lending guidelines. If that bank says no — or doesn’t offer the type of financing you’re looking for — it doesn’t necessarily mean you don’t qualify elsewhere. It simply means you may not meet that particular institution’s lending criteria.
Most business owners don’t know what they don’t know. They’re experts at running their businesses — not navigating a funding marketplace with hundreds of lenders, constantly changing underwriting guidelines, and dozens of financing options. That’s where experience, strategy, and guidance can make all the difference.
Rather than starting with a lender, I start with the business owner. Before discussing funding products, I want to understand your business, your goals, how much capital you’re looking for, how you plan to use it, your timeline, and your current financial position. Those factors determine which funding strategy makes the most sense — not the other way around.
“Strategy comes before applications.”
What This Means For You
- You’ll always understand what comes next.
- You’ll never apply blindly.
- We’ll develop a strategy before submitting applications.
- We’ll work to avoid unnecessary inquiries and preventable denials.
- You’ll have access to a nationwide marketplace of hundreds of lending partners rather than being limited to a single financial institution.
- You’ll receive guidance and communication throughout the entire process.
Depending on your qualifications, your strategy may include business lines of credit, SBA financing, term loans, equipment financing, revenue-based financing, invoice factoring, 0% APR business or personal credit strategies, or a combination of funding solutions working together.
One relationship gives you access to hundreds of lending programs — not just one bank’s guidelines.
How CEO Capital Connection Can Help
Business Funding
Most business owners know they need funding. What they don’t always know is what they actually qualify for or which type of funding makes the most sense for their situation. My job is to help you understand your options, develop the right strategy, and put you in the strongest possible position to reach your funding goals.
I work with a nationwide marketplace of hundreds of lending partners, so instead of being limited to one bank’s programs, we can evaluate a wide range of business funding solutions and build a strategy around your specific goals, qualifications, and long-term vision.
Depending on your business and your qualifications, that strategy may include business lines of credit, SBA loans, term loans, equipment financing, invoice factoring, revenue-based financing, commercial real estate financing, 0% APR business or personal credit strategies, or a combination of funding solutions.
Attorney-Directed Credit Restoration
Not every business owner is ready to qualify for the funding they need — and that’s okay. Sometimes the biggest obstacle isn’t the business. It’s the owner’s personal credit profile.
I don’t believe the conversation should end with “You’re declined.” I believe it’s more important to help you understand why you didn’t qualify and what you can do to put yourself in a stronger position moving forward. When credit-related issues are standing in the way of funding, attorney-directed credit restoration may be part of the strategy for addressing those obstacles.
The attorney-directed credit restoration process is designed to help address credit-related issues that may be limiting financing opportunities. The goal isn’t simply to improve a credit score — it’s to strengthen the overall financial profile and help create a better position for future funding opportunities.
Six Steps Built Around Strategy, Not Guesswork
Initial Conversation & Pre-Qualification
The first step is getting to know you, your business, why you need funding, how much capital you’re looking for, and what you hope to accomplish. The pre-qualification uses a soft credit review — no initial hard inquiry — and helps us determine whether you’re funding-ready today or whether certain factors need addressing first.
Funding Strategy Consultation
Once pre-qualification is complete, we schedule a more detailed consultation. We review your goals, estimated qualification ranges, possible funding options, expected terms, timelines, and any gap between the amount you want and what you currently qualify for.
Agreement & File Preparation
When you decide to move forward, you’ll receive the agreement and application. After signing, we collect documents required for the funding options being pursued and compare your application against supporting documents — correcting any inconsistencies before submission.
Strategic Lender Applications
We submit applications only to lenders and programs that fit your profile and goals. Strategy always comes before applications. We carefully manage both the order and timing because different lenders have different underwriting guidelines, approval criteria, and credit bureau preferences.
Approvals & Funding
We monitor applications, communicate with lenders, help you evaluate offers, and keep you informed every step of the way. Approved term loan proceeds are deposited directly into your bank account. Approved business or personal credit cards are mailed directly to you.
Completion & Future Strategy
After funding is received, we confirm the final results and complete the closing process. From there, we review the outcome and discuss future opportunities to strengthen your business credit, improve your funding position, or prepare for another round of funding as your business continues to grow.
What You Can Expect
More Than Just Access to a Lender
Access to Hundreds of Lenders in One Place
Every lender has different approval requirements, funding programs, and underwriting guidelines. A decline from one doesn’t mean you don’t qualify somewhere else. Through CEO Capital Connection, you gain access to hundreds of lenders through one trusted relationship — instead of searching for the right lender yourself, we bring the marketplace to you.
Strategy Before Applications
Before recommending any funding solution, I evaluate your overall financial profile, business goals, funding needs, and current qualifications. From there, we develop a strategy designed to give you the strongest opportunity for approval before applications are submitted. That’s why one of our core principles is simple: strategy comes before applications.
Maximizing Your Funding Opportunities
Getting approved isn’t the only goal. The goal is helping you secure the capital you need to accomplish what you’re trying to achieve. Our experience with lender guidelines, underwriting preferences, credit bureau selection, and application sequencing allows us to approach funding strategically instead of simply submitting applications and hoping for the best.
Saving Time & Reducing Guesswork
Researching lenders, comparing funding programs, understanding approval requirements, and deciding where to apply can take weeks. I’ve spent years studying how lenders evaluate applications. Instead of navigating that process alone, you receive guidance from someone who understands the marketplace and can help you make informed financial decisions from the beginning.
White-Glove Guidance from Start to Finish
The relationship doesn’t end after a recommendation is made. We guide clients throughout the funding process — helping coordinate applications, communicating with lenders, answering questions, and providing updates along the way. Our goal is to make the process as clear and straightforward as possible so you always understand what’s happening and what comes next.
A Trusted Advisor, Not Just a Broker
When you work with me and CEO Capital Connection, you’re not simply gaining access to funding. You’re gaining a trusted advisor whose goal is to help you make informed financial decisions, maximize your funding opportunities, and build a stronger financial future for your business.
Every Funding Strategy Is Customized
One of the things I enjoy most about what I do is that no two clients are ever the same. Every business has different goals, different challenges, and different opportunities. That’s why I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all business funding solutions. When someone comes to me, I’m not just looking for a lender that’s willing to approve them — I’m looking at their complete financial picture, what they’re trying to accomplish, and the best strategy to help them get there.
When Traditional Lenders Stopped Financing Baltimore Investment Properties
Natalie Walker had excellent credit but banks had stopped financing Baltimore investment properties due to market conditions. A multi-source strategy — 0% APR credit stacking plus a no-appraisal HELOC — secured full funding within approximately two weeks.
Exceeding the Goal While Reducing Borrowing Costs
Sean Mason had excellent credit and stable income. Instead of a higher-cost business line of credit, personal term loans combined with 0% APR financing exceeded her $150,000 goal while reducing overall borrowing costs.
Strengthening the Profile First — Then Applying
Demetrice Hardin had a solid credit foundation, but high revolving utilization and unnecessary inquiries were limiting his potential. After addressing those factors first, a customized strategy secured $95,000 and improved his long-term credit profile.

What is CEO Capital Connection?
CEO Capital Connection is a business funding advisory company that helps entrepreneurs navigate a nationwide marketplace of lending options. Rather than being limited to one bank or one type of financing, we help business owners evaluate funding solutions based on their qualifications, financial profile, and goals while providing guidance throughout the funding process.
How long has Aazim Sharp been in the business funding industry?
My overall experience spans more than 20 years across real estate investing, consumer credit, and business funding. My path into business funding developed naturally from my earlier work in real estate and credit, where I saw firsthand how access to capital could determine whether someone was able to move forward with an opportunity. Today, business funding is the primary focus of my work through CEO Capital Connection.
What types of businesses does Aazim Sharp help get funded?
I’ve worked with entrepreneurs across more than a dozen industries, including real estate investing, trucking and transportation, construction, staffing, healthcare, restaurants, retail, professional services, and e-commerce. Because every business has different financial needs and qualifications, I don’t use a one-size-fits-all approach. I evaluate each client’s financial profile and goals before determining which business funding options may be appropriate.
What makes CEO Capital Connection different from a traditional bank?
A traditional bank can only offer the lending products and guidelines available through that institution. CEO Capital Connection provides access to a nationwide marketplace of hundreds of lending partners and multiple types of financing — allowing me to evaluate different options and develop a funding strategy around the client’s qualifications and goals rather than trying to fit every business owner into one lender’s requirements.
Has Aazim Sharp been featured in any press or media?
Yes. I’ve been featured as a guest on the Financial 1st Aid Podcast (Apple) and Spotify, and the Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio Show. I’ve also been a guest speaker at financial education and business events, including an event in Brooklyn, New York, where I shared my experience on topics related to credit, finance, entrepreneurship, and building stronger financial foundations.
How does Aazim Sharp help businesses get funding?
I begin by evaluating the business owner’s goals, credit profile, income, business financials, existing debt, and overall funding readiness. From there, I develop a funding strategy and identify lending programs that fit the client’s qualifications. Through CEO Capital Connection’s nationwide lending marketplace, I can evaluate multiple funding options rather than relying on a single bank or lender.
How can I work with Aazim Sharp?
The first step is scheduling a consultation through CEO Capital Connection. During the conversation, we’ll discuss your business, funding goals, current financial position, and what you’re trying to accomplish. From there, I can help you understand which funding options may be available and whether working together makes sense based on your qualifications and objectives.
